proviamo a fare questa cosa:
abbiamo a disposizione 3 canzoni per genere, non possiamo fare altro che scegliere.
anche se non conosciamo particolarmente bene una scena metal o la schifiamo come la cacca di cane sul marciapiede, proviamo lo stesso...
chi riesce a completare la lista è un superfigodellamadonna
(blaze non conta. cioè, ovviamente è chiamato a stilare la lista, ma considerando che di professione scrive di musica... beh, non dovrebbe avere grossi problemi )

logicamente le sub-categorie sono incluse nel genere primario. se mi viene in mente un pezzo dei cock and ball torture, lo posso tranquillamente inserire nel genere grind anche se stilisticamente i cock suonano pornogrind.

per rendere il tutto più complicato, non possiamo citare 2 o più pezzi della stessa band. se (esempio) scelgo vikingland dei satyricon per la categoria black, non posso aggiungere un altro pezzo della band norvegese (questo vale anche per i gruppi "multigenere". non possiamo indicare una canzone dei bathory per il black e per il viking... oppure un pezzo dei pantera per i groove e per il thrash)

non valgono i per me, i secondo me, e i vari IMHO. non possiamo uscircene con ao, per me raining blood è un pezzo nu metal
cerchiamo di attenerci alla realtà dei fatti

beh, sì, tecnicamente si potrebbe discutere quasi su tutto.
per esempio bloody kisses è praticamente un pezzo doom, ma pure autumn grey views (più sul depressive)

mi sento molto ignorante in tutto ciò

comunque il goth è un genere particolarmente vago. cioè, quali sono i gruppi eticchettabili esclusivamente in questo modo?

per me sono power sinfonico, almeno finchè ho sentito qualcosa, ovvero il periodo tarja. ma lo stesso discorso si potrebbe fare per tanto altro, tipo gli amon amarth (viking o death o heavy con growl?), i trivium (metalcore come i killswitch?), tipo il crossover (inteso come faith no more o come thrash hardcore?)..

Anche io ho sempre considerato i Nightwish power così come non considererei mai i trivium come Metalcore, per dire....

Bel topic ma troppo sbattimento
Per i Nightwish direi symphonic metal, con parecchio power soprattutto su Oceanborn, che tra l'altro per me resta il loro migliore a mani basse.
Il gothic metal per me è un'altra cosa (Paradise Lost, MDB, Moonspell, Autumnblaze, primissimi Tristania ecc...).

Quella black e gothic provo a farla comunque.

Iron, non ti azzardare mai più a fare queste cose!
