Nome simbolo dell'underground, formati nel 92 dai musicisti Zenon e Vercingetorix, con l'inserimento di Orlok subito dopo la release del demo Permafrost. Intorno al 96, con Ad Maiorem Sathanae Gloriam, il gruppo prende le sembianze di one band man, diventando il progetto singolo di Orlok.
Il balck metal firmato Countess è puro odio viscerale devoto ai più marci Bathory, senza disdegnare buonissimi inserimenti melodici sorprendentemente ben curati per una band che si affida interamente alla vecchia scuola raw black metal.
Tanti dischi di prima grandezza, alcuni veri e propri gioielli del metallo nero, come The Book of the Heretic, The Revenge of the Horned One, Heilig Vuur, Spawn of Steel etc.
